Our teams

Teams are where we take action!

They are led by members and meet regularly to work on collective projects in specific areas of the food system.

(All meetings and materials are accessible in Spanish and English).

Community Leadership

🗓  Meetings: Every other Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 am  on Zoom.
The Community Leadership is led by clients and volunteers of food pantries. We work alongside food pantries to develop organizational policies that are created by and work for the volunteers and clients.

Food Chain

🗓  Meetings: Every other Thursday from 1:00-2:00 pm on Zoom.
The Food Chain is a group of community members and organizations from all sectors of the food system. This includes farmers, food pantries, local grocery stores and butcher shops, local government, food hubs, and more. Together, we work to understand each other’s challenges and find collective solutions.

School Food

🗓  Meetings: Parents meet weekly on Mondays at 2:00 pm in Edgewater.
The School Food Pilot is a project led by parents to improve the quality of school meals. We work with Jeffco Public Schools, Jeffco Education Support Professionals Association, Edgewater Collective, and others to bring family recipes, local ingredients, and nutrition education into our school cafeterias.

Racial Equity

🗓 Meetings: Scheduled by email. Join the workgroup to be added to the list.
The Racial Equity Workgroup is a space for learning and connecting. The group has hosted trainings and developed tools to promote equity in the food system.

Community Engagement

The Community Engagement Workgroup plans outreach events and strategies to share our work with the Jeffco community.
