A monthly virtual space to explore the food system, share knowledge, and coordinate collaborative solutions. Topics rotate to build cross-sector understanding and identify opportunities for aligned action across Jeffco. All Council members, especially those working in the food system, are encouraged to participate.

Youth for Food Justice is a group for youth ages 11-18 with a connection to Jeffco and an interest in our local food system. We meet weekly online to learn, share ideas, and work on creative and advocacy projects that uplift youth voices. Members also participate in field trips and outings while building leadership skills and helping shape group decisions.

The Healthy School Action Team is a parent-led effort to improve the quality of school meals. We work directly with Jeffco Public Schools to bring family recipes, local ingredients, and nutrition education into school cafeterias. This group meets monthly virtually.

Caucuses are member-formed affinity spaces centered around shared identities, experiences, or goals, helping ensure equity and justice are reflected in our shared work. Caucuses meet at varying times and frequencies. Contact us to learn more about current active caucuses.

The Food Task Force is a space for coordination and mutual support among emergency food providers, such as food pantries. The group meets monthly online to coordinate efforts and develop strategies and solutions to respond to emergencies and disruptions in food access, such as SNAP freezes.

This group meets online monthly to discuss strategies and solutions for reducing the overmarketing and consumption of excessively sugary beverages, with a particular focus on how these products are disproportionately marketed to specific communities in Jeffco.
